National Volunteer Week (NVW) was recognised and celebrated recently. The theme for National Volunteer Week 2023 is The Change Makers. As a not-for-profit organisation, The Penguin Foundation relies on and is ever grateful for the individuals and teams of volunteers who have generously spent hours and money (materials and post) in knitting jumpers for penguins involved in oil spills. While the Knits for Nature program has now closed, we are still supported by volunteers who come to assist in opening packages and sorting jumpers into tubs and ready for use. Thank you to all the Change Makers who are passionate about conservation and making a difference to wildlife now and in the future.
