'Tis the Season!

Waddle you give to the person who has everything this Christmas?

Symbolically adopting and naming a wild animal on Phillip Island (Millowl) means you will become their official guardian. With Christmas fast approaching, an animal adoption makes an ideal gift that keeps on giving. You can share this unique present with your family, colleagues, a friend or even yourself! Your support will help to protect the species and their habitats today and for years to come. Adopt a Koala, Little Penguin, Australian Fur Seal, Eastern Barred Bandicoot, Hooded Plover or Short-tailed Shearwater. Funds raised from our animal adoptions contribute to securing a brighter future for these iconic species by supporting scientific research, rehabilitation and conservation efforts.

Donors kindly contribute to the work of the Penguin Foundation and Phillip Island Nature Parks through our Giving Programs, including Adopt a Penguin and other wildlife. Support is also provided through grants, corporate partnerships, events, corporate team days and bequests. Since its establishment in 2005, the Penguin Foundation has raised over AU $2.7 million. Over this time the Penguin Foundation has funded new technology to clean wildlife affected by oil spills, the removal of foxes from Phillip Island, the re-introduction of threatened species to Phillip Island, the revegetation of wildlife habitat, and saving marine wildlife from marine debris and plastic pollution.

In 2024 and beyond, the Foundation is focusing fundraising efforts towards threatened species, climate change and native wildlife health-related research and conservation projects. Your contribution will go towards helping Phillip Island Nature Parks better understand the impacts of these threats on our natural environment so that we can continue to protect our local flora and fauna.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we would be unable to complete our valuable and vital conservation work without donors like you for assisting with our efforts on mitigating the impact of climate change on Philip Island’s flora and fauna for future generations – thank you for your involvement and support of the Penguin Foundation and please click here to order a gift adoption for Christmas.
